Authorisation and regulation

SampsonLegal is authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (registration number 564502) and is bound by the SRA code of conduct for solicitors. It is registered with the Financial Conduct Authority so that it can provide legal advice about insurance contracts, but that part of its business is regulated by the SRA: it is not authorised or regulated by the FCA. I will address any concerns you may have about my service or my charges openly, fairly, and as quickly as I can. If my response does not satisfy you I will provide full details of my formal complaints procedure. Details are also available on request.

If you remain dissatisfied after we have completed my formal complaints procedure, you may be entitled to refer your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman. Normally you will need to do this within 6 months of my final response and within 6 years of the event that you wish to complain about. If you miss that 6-year deadline, he may still consider your complaint provided you refer it to him within 3 years of when you ought to have been aware of the event you wish to complain about.
